About Filings Flow
Filings Flow is a free 13F search and analysis tool built by the Filings Flow team. No login, no paywall. If you cite our data, attribution with a link to filingsflow.com is all we ask.
Methodology
Source. Every number comes from SEC EDGAR — the original 13F-HR filings and their amendments. Each filing page links back to the source document. We cover filings from 2019 to the present.
Units. Before 2023, the SEC required position values in thousands of dollars; from 2023 onward, full dollars. We normalize everything to dollars. Values that still look implausible (a single position over $5T) are unit-corrected and flagged — never silently altered.
Amendments. A RESTATEMENT replaces the original filing in all our totals. A NEW HOLDINGS amendment (a confidential-treatment reveal) is merged into the original, and those positions carry a REVEALED badge.
Validation. A nightly job re-checks a random sample of filings against the total the filer itself reported on the SEC cover page and flags mismatches.
Limitations. 13Fs are due 45 days after quarter end, so data lags the funds’ live books. They exclude short positions, most bonds, foreign-listed shares, and private assets. Issuer names are free text typed by filers. Share counts are not split-adjusted. Some CUSIPs don’t resolve to tickers. See the glossary for terms.
